I am Damien Kennis and I am 37 years old.

I created Brareseau 3 years ago after a dozen years spent in budgetary and financial management.

After 4 years in my first job and after having undertaken a university training in shift work, I was contacted for a responsible job in the capital. This period of my life taught me to train myself in all areas and to develop my unconditional love to see things through to the end. It was at this time that my passion for plancha braziers began.

For what?

At the time, I was constantly questioning my life. The office work and the endless meetings were starting to weigh on me. And I felt that it was time for me to start a new challenge, more tangible this time.

It was during a beautiful summer day spent at Geoffrey's, a long-time friend, that he introduced me to his plancha brazier. I instantly fell under its spell.

Cooking over a wood fire is not only fantastic from a taste point of view but also very pleasant to look at, listen to and smell.

During this evening among friends, conviviality took place in a disconcerting and natural way.

For me, it was the end of the traditional skewers and sausages all alone in front of my barbecue. I too wanted to taste the pleasures of the plancha. And without knowing it, I had just found my future partner.

However, I quickly realized that the quality plancha braziers available on the market were either way too expensive for me, and that the others came from faraway countries, with very average quality and all looked the same! I told myself, at that precise moment, that I had to figure out how to make them myself.

This is how the adventure began.

My years of experience in financial management taught me to develop new skills, focus and a love for challenges, so I used them to achieve my goals.

My dream at that time was to make “the” brazier plancha.

I wanted to work with the best materials while offering a unique style.

My passion for family barbecues has been present since I was very young, it is this period that made me an epicurean who loves the company of his loved ones, meals, festive evenings and the desire to share.

I knew exactly what I wanted.

But I was missing the production part.

Experiments are made through encounters often dictated by chance. This was the case when I met Ludwig, an outstanding craftsman, specialized in welding and in the creation of unique pieces. After several meetings and many sketches, our first prototype was finally ready.

This day marked the beginning of a new life.

After this first prototype, Brareseau grew. I decided not to expand further in order to keep control over the product from A to Z.

I control everything. From the choice of materials to the final product. So it's not complicated for me to support you. Whether remotely or directly in the workshop. And I'm not alone. We are a small team of enthusiasts who take your requests to heart by trying to guide you towards the product that suits you best and suits you: the most important thing is that you don't have to ask yourself any questions and that the choice is made simply.

We want you to feel good about the aesthetics of your plancha brazier as well as its daily use.

Our mission begins with the discovery of our braziers. I myself would never have considered buying this type of barbecue if I had never used it before or if I had just seen an ad on the internet.

And that's why we offer rental. This allows you to discover our products with your friends and family. In addition, if you want to buy it after that, we deduct the rental amount. Which, I won't hide from you, is very profitable for us. Because once it's at your place, you won't want to give it back to us.
